Does anyone know if Amex pulls a hard inquiry on a person I'd want to add as an authorized user? I'm assuming they do, but not sure. Also, would they pull an inquiry on me as well? I'm assuming they would not, but for some reason I'm never to sure what Amex is thinking. Thanks, Kevin
If they don't have your ss#, does that mean they won't report to the CRA's? Or just that they don't need it to report?
I was added as an AU on 4 of my wifes cards. Only one asked for my ss#, which she refused to give them. All of them still found their way onto my credit reports.
Hmm...has anyone actually gone through this with Amex? I'm looking at the terms and conditions on their web page for adding an authorized user, and it says: "The Additional Card applicant is aware that you may verify and exchange information on the applicant, including requesting reports from consumer reporting agencies. If they ask whether or not a consumer report was requested, you will tell them, and if you receive a report, you will give them the name and address of the agency that furnished it. If the Card is issued, they have authorized you and your subsidiaries and affiliates to contact these sources for information at any time." Anyone have experience with Amex? Kevin
They RUN an "INTERNAL" check to see if the AU is a BAD RISK...(if you STIFFED AMEX)...if you pass...you get the card... NO CREDIT REPORT IS REQUIRED BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT APPLYING FOR ANY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT OR LOAN!!!
