    what is the difference between hard and soft ones? How can I tell which is on my credit report?

    HARD is used against you on your score, soft is "SUPPOSEDLY" not.

    Depending on which credit report you're looking at, a soft inquiry will either have a code next to it, or will be in a section saying (paraphrasing) the following requests to view your report have been made, but do not appear to others entities viewing your credit

    THAT WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH CONGRESS/SENATE...CRA'S WON'T GET RID OF THEM VOLUNTARILY!!!

    YEARS AGO "HARD" INQUIRES USED TO ONLY STAY FOR ONE YEAR...
