    Help please!
    I have an inquiry on EX from "Financial Credit Corp"

    I have no idea who this is, can someone help??

    It is a collection agency. I have not found its address, however.

    Thanks a million! I'm about to right a nasty letter to them. I've never had a collection from them, and why would they be pulling my report? We'll soon find out!

    oh, i forgot to ask, do ca's routinely pull reports? I mean, are they authorized to do so by some means?

    The one in Illinois may be a different company. I just detailed the inquiry on my ex report online and it lists a p.o. box address in Warren, MI. Very strange!

    I live in MI and I can't find an Financial Credit Corp in Warren, MI

    No PO Box
    No "real" address

    yeah, i found them with the BBB.

    they have a po box as well as:

    Warren MI 48092

    toll free # (800) 391-9419

    I haven't called to see what they're all about yet, I may just send a letter.

    There is a FTC opinion about permissible purpose which specifically applies to collection agencies "checking in" to credit reports randomly- of course, they aren't allowed to do this. It is absolutely a violation of the FCRA. This is a good read for anyone with permissible purpose questions...
