Could it be some people don't get their green card back because the CAs have a plant in the local post office that destroys them before the can be mailed out?

What the hell does this snide off the wall remark have to do with the topic.?
Since you know it all how about just answering the question and just explain all the reasons why the green cards disappear!

Careful now you're showing your ignorance?

Interesting theory lbrown. I tend to believe the CRA's monitor this board and love pissing us off by making the green cards dissappear.

I made my snide off the wall comment for the following reason:

You are accusing the CAs of having a plant in the local post office that eats the returned receipt cards!

Oh, geez. You can't be serious.

Returned receipt cards are handled by the United States Postal Service. If you do not get the returned receipt card back you need to contact your local post office so they can trace it for you. If you're having trouble getting the green cards back I would try a different method of mailing - preferably signature confirmation which allows you to go online and see when it was received, at what time, and by who.

Any one here think what I suggested can't possibly happen. Can you say with complete certainty that it can't happen.?

We all know how honest the CAs are and that there are no dishonest employees working for the postal service so no such thing could happen RIGHT?

Here, lbrown59, let me add my nasty snide comment to stand proudly beside Dani's:

You have demonstrated a long-term paranoid orientation to life in general, and your latest silly assertion fits very well with what I've come to expect whenever I waste my time reading your postings.

    There.

    Doc :)

Thanks dock for proving what I suggested can't ever happen - should I feel better about it now?

    llbrown,

I'm in a small town, I'm not sure how it works in the metro areas of the world; the mailman here delivers a bag stuffed full of mail everyday; we have staff that distributes it by department, green cards attached to the envelopes in all.

I'm not paranoid, I know all the green cards don't get promptly signed by staff and returned to the mail for delivery back to the sender.

At times it's better to be a little paranoid than to be totally naive.

call me paranoid or not. But I tend to agree with LLbrown59.

I believe it is not a total conspiracy. But the people who work for the ca may a have friendly-working relationship and the postal employee may just forget to sign the green cards.

The green cards have gone missing on ALOT of mail that I have sent.

My local post office says, they have no control over what happens once it leaves their office!

    Go figure!!!

    Good grief.

I guess the creditors have people on the "inside" too, holding your payments until they are late. or wait maybe even the CRA'S have the "insiders" too, destroying those disputes ROFL.

Most days there are several very interesting and informatives posts, this isn't one of them.

1*Nobody said my post had to appeal to all.sorry you got left out.

2* Don't act suprised if this comes back and haunts you.
At least no one can accuse you of being paranoid-you're too naive!

This very reason was suggested by a postal employe as a possible explanation as to why 2 green cards for 2 CRRR letters came up missing.
    So now who is paranoid?

I have to kinda laugh about this thread. I worked at the college post office, and after receiving some mail that was suppose to go to places all over the us (anywhere BUT us) including certified letters with the green cards still intact, i have to say it probably has nothing to do with an "inside job" and alot to do with the sheer volume and a bit of ineptness on the part of the post office. As an example, a priority letter I sent monday still hasn't arrived at it's destination (irs, yikes) . My favorite while working was a letter that was sent to africa in 99 and didn't get back until last summer....

I think aliens need the green cards to survive in our atmosphere. Hence the green cards disappear, whether they are delivered or signed or not, because no one can see the aliens without special glasses.
