Does anyone know how instant credit work? How does it know you have a BK on your record? It's so fast I thought they could only have time to base it on your FICO score.
They get the entire credit file at the exact time that they get the score. Data transfers that fast over industrial strength T* lines, and backbone connections. More than likely they look at the score, *THEN* look at the complete report by looking for special key notations (BK) (CHAP) etc. Programmer's typically call this reg-ex (Regular Expressions), if one of their specified reg-ex's is found on the report, it more than likely gets flagged as either a deny, or manual review.
They also check to ensure the name and address match the entries you made. Since they may check multiple credit bureaus, it behooves you to ensure they're current before responding to a pre-approved offer.
