I know that being AU is good for score, but Iâ??m not sure how does it works regarding length of time credit established? For example if someone has really short credit history like 6 months or so, and he is added as AU on card with 3-4 years of history â?? what will happen upon applying for credit.

Is he going to be declined because of insufficient credit history since he has only 6 months of his credit history or creditor is going to count history from AU account as well?

So he is not going to be declined since they will count AU length of history as well. At least not for insufficient credit history reason.
