I sent an intent to sue letter to a CA and to the BBB. The CA responded to the BBB (copy to me) with health insurance claim forms for several accounts that are not on my cr. Some of these accounts are for me, some for spouse. They sent it CRRR, but the mailman left the green card on the envelope. What should I do? I don't think this is validation. Can they send forms for both spouses to only one spouse? Can the medical billing company send out forms that include diagnosis and service codes? Yes, I posted this in another thread yesterday. Hoping this title might get more attention. I am desperate here, home computer broken and mortgage in jeopardy... TIA
I would think that sending out a claim form is a serious violation of privacy and with the new HIPAA regulations - hmmmmm. If I were you, I would research the legality of their sending this out to you. As for validation, I wouldn't think this represents validation at all. They could very easily recreate a claim form for anyone using that info. **But I am a relative newbie so please wait for more responses.
Re: Insurance claim form = validati Thanks, Caligirl. It seems that way to me also. I don't know anything about HIPAA. I found their website and posted a question via email. Thanks again!
Re: Insurance claim form = validati I think they are in violation also, but I am not an expert on this. I believe Why Chat has done a little research on this issue for another person, and might know a little more about the specifics of the law. Technically they can only share that info with another healthcare provider - at least that is my understanding.
