Has anyone successfully had the interest on a store card reduced? (Sears, Penny's, etc.) If so, were you able to just call on the phone and ask? (I've been successful doing this with Visa).

    Any suggestions are helpful.

    Thanks!

Sorry, they will NOT decrease your interest rate;they base it upon where you live(regardless of what your credit history reflects).

Thanks, Terri. It was worth a try to ask.

DO WHAT I DO...ONLY USE SEARS WHEN YOU CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE 0.00% INTEREST FOR A GIVEN PERIOD OF TIME.

Good policy. That is the only time to use credit for anything other than investing. I only use store cards to take advantage of 0 percent financing. Just did with a Sony card for a flat screen TV. No interest till 10/01.
