Fiance and I both have the following offer from Amex: 5.9 till paid, increase limit dollar for dollar for each dollar transferred up to 12,500 (me), or 13,700 (him). My current limit was just increased to 7500, so there will be a 5k increase. His limit was just increased to 3700, so there will be a 10k increase for him. How often does Amex make these offers? I have had my account for almost 2 years, and this is the first offer like this. my fiance has had is for a little over a year, and this is the first he got this offer.
...THEN THERE IS ME...12.99% NO LIMIT INCREASE 2+ YEARS...REFUSAL AFTER REFUSAL TO DECREASE THE INTEREST RATE, even though ALL "NEW" applicants get 9.99%!!!! REFUSED me twice, wife once. THEY HATE ME!!!
George, I though they hated me too. Until Dec, I couldn't get a limit higher than $2500 on the account even though 10k was the lowest limit I had on any other account. I don't know what took them so long to increase me limit. I have the 12.9 Blue too, they won't change the apr. I think I might convert my card to the hilton optima.
