Ok, that's one forum I've never seen... but I just visited and saw this interesting thread: http://www.collectionindustry.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=8&threadid=956 There's a nice testimonial there which suggests a method I've not seen too often: a goodwill request for a collection account sent to the corporate headquarters of the original creditor. I imagine that this works best with the type of debt under discussion -- a very small debt. Also in that same thread, I found it entertaining to see one of the resident CAs there harassed regarding his take on FDCPA validation. Doc
