    >>Account information disputed by consumer, meets FCRA requirements>>

Can anyone tell me what this messgae means. It is on a CCB charge off that I am still disputing. That message has been there for several months, although they keep verifying. I did not request to have information put on my account.

    Account No.: ****
    Type: Credit Card
    Date Opened: 3/1998 Balance: $0
    Past Due: $0
    Condition: Derogatory
    Status: Collection/Chargeoff
    Remarks: Payment after charge off/collection
Account information disputed by consumer, meets FCRA requirements

    Thanks

    What don't you understand?

It looks like they are reporting exactly what you described

    Ok, let me try again...
What I don't understand is after they've verified, I was under the impression that the reference to dispute would disappear. CCB verified.

    Bascially,
**You dispute...they delete or verify...they removed the reference of dispute.** Yes/No?

I have not placed this account in dispute again, and it has been about 6 months since I have. So my question is this normal? How can something be in dispute when you have not placed it in dispute? Who does this message benefit?
