    Nave

Just an update on my Equifax inquiries. All 6 have been deleted using Creditwatch.

The first 3 deleted inquiries (all over one year of age ) gave me no additional credit score increse.

The second batch of 3 deleted inquiries were older than six months but were on the report for less than a year. Here is the effect on the score when the deletions took place..

    #4 - I got 5 points
    #5 - I got 1 point
    #6 - I got 0 point

I am leaving my husbands info out of this as he still has 2 inquiries to go.

Here is another official release of the unofficial Board FAQ.

Please add suggestions or changes to the FEEDBACK forum (see the link at the end of the FAQ), it is almost impossible to address or even read all the suggestions placed throughout the 1000's of posts. Also adding suggestions to this thread only forces this LINK to the FAQ further and further up the list.

...and again please don't be shy with the criticism or corrections...I do not want this to be a Nave creation but rather a group effort of those of us that frequent here and could use a FAQ to point people to the best and most overasked questions and topics.

Some of the additions include (but are not limited to):
    - Hawk Alert information
    - LK's settlement letter version
    - Section on case law
    - Revised the whole SOL section
(Whychat is our newly appointed SOL-ution for advice in this area :)
    - Scoring section additions and corrections
    - FCRA/FDCPA section additions
    - Added Marie's NON Permissable Purposes advice

    -Peace, Dave

Nave, the originator of the FAQ board:

    Last Post : 1/23/2003

Since he has chosen to abandon CreditNet we need someone who has the time and HTML wherewithal to take over the FAQ board.

I think 6 months is quite long enough to wait. In fact the domain used is now eligable for registration, which means it'll soon be lost anyway.

There's a good deal of outdated stuff which desperately needs attention, any takers?

    ???

Don't worry, it doesn't expire for 7 more years:
    "Record expires on 24-Oct-2010"

Nave will come back around shortly. I traded email with him not so long ago.

    Thanks for the notes.

I will search and if there are there items I have been missing for the FAQ I will update it soon.

Re: Re: Unofficial CreditNet Board FAQ

Hi Sassy, LKH, lb, Butch, and vghost,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

As you probably have noticed I can not devote nearly as much time to reading the posts and updating the FAQ. In fact I am so busy I have only logged in 2 or 3 times this year. (sorry)

But that said YES I could use help. If you are interested, I can do all the mundane stuff like taking the text and posting into the FAQ as HTML, tweaking to make it "look like" the FAQ as far as fonts and tables are concerned, and uploading it via FTP, but if you would like to help by making content changes or additions to the FAQ and emailing me the text to add with links to the appropriate post(s), it would be a GREAT help.

Basically then I would only need to copy and paste relevant info into the FAQ. I am sure you can appreciate how much time it takes reading all the relevant and recent posts to take the appropriate items and then entering the stuff into the FAQ. Thanks for the offer.

I REALLY miss talking to you all. Email me if you want to touch base.

Thanks again all for the hellos and good wishes!

    Peace,
    Dave

PS ((((HUGS)))) and fuzzies back at you Sassy!!

    Unofficial CreditNet Board FAQ

    • Hey Nave!

      Few questions ...

      1. Is the "BoardFAQ.htm" a plain HTML or is it a generated HTML? Meaning, would it be good enough if I send you something in plain HTML or do you need it in another format?

      2. Is there an upload directory on the FTP server? I could directly FTP the changes to avoid eventual code conversion by some email clients.

      3. Since all links in the board go to the last message by default, having the "Unofficial CreditNet Board FAQ" stuck at the top of the board doesn't help much. May be it could be changed to go to the first post, where actually the link to the FAQs is ...
