    Hello to this group!

Great site but a bit overwhelming. So much information and a lot to learn. I have read many posts, clicked on links to other posts and feeling lost!

I ordered my credit reports. I did not do the 3 in 1 credit report, but ordered from each site. My reports do not look good and feel that I am a hopeless case. Sob, Sob!

I need a new home, one that I can buy and now feel that this will not happen. I have one paid collection showing on all three. This is a medical bill which was paid. I have read about HIPPA. Does this violate my rights under HIPPA?
I have 2 other collections. They do not show on all 3 reports and the collection agency is RMA. I looked at post for them... they seem to be scumbags.

I have lived on cash for several years now. That has been hard but worth it. I have a small amount saved for a downpayment for a home. I am now afraid that I will have to use that to pay these collections.

There has to be another way. I see others that make less than me, have files bankruptcy and I know have bad credit living in their own homes.

I can copy and paste, what someone needs to help me.

Oh... bsackground. As most young people that had access to credit and a good paying job...I used it. Looking back now. I never anticipated a time when I could not pay. Good job, decent income. I lived paycheck to paycheck, but always had the means to pay. Bad times hit and i had to take time off the job. I still have same job, but I had to take a leave. I became afraid to answer my phome. I negoitated 2 settlements....God knows how. Those are paid and do not show up on my credit report. I am at the last of my bad days with 2 things on my reports. Now that I have learned my lessons with credit, want these off as well. I am afriad that I never dealed with RMA before. I have an account that is showing 120 days past due, but I quit paying that mid 1999.
My state is 6 years for lawsuit.

    Thank you for reading.

Ok well,,, first thing Lori is relax.

Things are never as bad (or as good) as they seem.

    Go read this thread first:

    CreditNet Testimonials!

We all come here confused, lost and discouraged. Not to mention overwhelmed.

Just start at the beginning and study hard. Begin with the first posts in the first panel marked "INTRO". And follow those links too.

Resolve not to do anything for awhile until you can get a handle on how it all works.

    :)

Wish I only had two baddies on my reports!

Give us some details on RMA. Yes, they are a pain, but they usually screw upat some point--generally to your advantage.

I know, they have paid me!

The paid collection hurts your score, but as long as it is paid, that will satisfy a mortgage company. How old is it? Who is it. With any luck you can simply dispute it away. Alot of CA's don't waste time verifying once they get their money. Maybe you will have some luck there too.

    Don't despair.

    Thank you Butch.

Let me read over these and then come back with some questions I think I may have some. I am sure it will be a few days until I have more questions. In the meantime trying to make sense of all three reports. They are not all saying the same information.
Let me get to reading now.
