I have an investigation due back on Equifax on the 26th. Since this is a holiday weekend, I'm hoping they will delete it today or tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience with their holiday schedule and how they handle that as far as the investigations go?

This is my last derog (not counting two late pays on EQ that are also in dispute), and I would really, really, really like to see it gone!

    Thanks!

That brings up a good question....

When does C.H.O.S (the summer version of CHOD) start? Is this Doc or Lizardking's idea?

Is that why you're bring it up, Whyspers?

I remember thread (don't remember time frame) mentioning this version of CHOD, but has it been proven in past summers? ...I only started this board (lurking) in November.

No, Ted...didn't know there was a summer version...lol. I brought it up because I can't wait for this to come off and I'm hoping like crazy it will.

Equifax sent me two incorrect addresses for this company (who is mostly out of business although their corporate office still seems to have a few people in it). I was able to find an address that worked after sending three CRRR's that came back to me. I sent them a modified form of the validation letter and disputed for the third time with Equifax. As of last night, it was still not updated and since their 30 days is up on the 26th, I was hoping today would be the day it would disappear forever. If it does, I would think I would get a huge boost since this is my last derog on there. 40 points would put me at just under a 700 fico and I *need* to see that...lol.

I hit the jackpot with TU on a dispute filed online on December 4, 2001. I was a complete rookie at this. It was probably my second ever dispute. I disputed 7 items at once. Six of the seven were deleted. The interesting thing here is that those 6 that were deleted from TU at Christmas are still reporting on EQ & EX today. I have had no luck whatsoever in getting them deleted. So, I have to attribute it to the holiday. December 4, 2002, watch out!

    whyspers,

Its been my experience, even when there is no holiday on the following Monday, when a dispute is due on a Sunday, the report is updated Friday night or early Saturday.

Mindcrime, that has been my experience too. In fact a TU rep told me that their system was not equipped to address disputes on a weekend or holiday. She told me that if a dispute was due on a Sunday, it defaulted to a Friday. I try to structure my disputes to always end on a Sunday if at all possible. I doubt that the same is true for EX or EQ.
