I swear since I have started this credit repair stuff I am spending a fortune on new reports!! I am so addicted I am always throwing another $12.95 to see my (dh's) score! I have pg but I want the real thing!! I really need to stop pulling the reports... are there meetings for this?

On a serious note, I'm kinda baffled w/ my (dh's) latest eq score though. I put all of his negs in dispute last month - 1996 BK, 1 incl in bk, and 2 CA's. His score prior to the dispute was 626, during dispute 680 and after dispute 674. The ONLY one of the negs that was deleted was the incl in bk acct and of course the 2 CA's updated the report date to 4/2003. I can't understand why he got such a big jump!!! Other than the one neg coming off, the only change was the addition of his new USAA credit card and one of his cc's turned a year old?? On that note, TU dropped from 693 to 689 w/ the new credit card showing up.

What sux is whats left on his reports are stuck like glue. The bk is on all 3, Eq has the 2 CA accts and Exp has the Montgomery Wards incl in bk that will not go away!! Good thing w/ that one is its *suppose* to fall off in August. TU only has the bk on there.

    DH's latest scores:

    EQ - 674 4/23/2003
    - 618 in the beginning (dec?)
    TU (Fico) - 689 4/20/2003
    - 624 in the beginning
    Ex - 664 4/18/2003
    - 604 in the beginning

LOL guess I am the only addict here! Ok I'm going to begin the long, slow process of weaning myself off the reports...

nahhhh I'm not an addict. You must have missed my post a while back griping because it was 10:30 am and EX hadn't updated my score for the day.

I'm perfectly fine...just don't verify that with my kids.

hmmm yeah I must have missed that....must have been about the time I was debating myself as to pull another Eq report or not...should I or shouldn't I... gotta love it when I plan my day around when I can pull my next PG score....

Oh my! This is so me. I am so glad I am not the only one that gets a sheer high from pulling my PG to look for changes. Just yesterday I was thinking I should wait a week and then see. But ohhhh the thought of that would make me go through withdrawls of wondering how much better things might be today than they were yesterday.

Glad I am not alone. It makes me feel like I am part of a "big happy family".

    *LOL*

Okay... better get back to work and stop avoiding my In-Box.

After spending months fixing my reports I cannot stop pulling my reports. Now, mind you, there is really no reason to pull them anymore. Nothing is in dispute. I just like to see if tradelines were up-dated and see the results of perhaps a balance going lower or a credit card being paid off. My co-workers think I am crazy. They ask me why would I pull my reports every day? I said, â??Because I canâ?. Actually I think the thing is, after we work so hard to fix our credit we appreciate it much more and become addicted to getting it even better then it is. I donâ??t even talk about it to anyone anymore because if they never had or tried to fix their credit they just would not understand the pride we take in it.

Oh, and this discussion board, I read it in the morning as soon as I get out of bed, when I come home from lunch, when I get home from work, and before I go to bed.
    Problem, who me?

I haven't posted much yet, and I'm still in the early stages, but I too am an addict! :)

I have this huge desire to check all my reports and DHs just to see what the score is, what's been updated, what hasn't. It takes a lot of will power to not buy our scores every other day. I feel like I'm back in school again and can not wait to find out how I made out on a test!!!

LOL! Maybe creditnet needs to start a support group for us all!

I've got an Excel spreadsheet that has the following columns: Day, Date, Time, Score, Comments. The time is important because it lets me know when 24 hours have elapsed so that I can access a current Experian CreditExpert score. The comments column is used to indicate why the score nudged up or down (inquiry, new account, etc.)

Is this an addiction or simply a practical way to keep the FICO gods in check? Hmmm. If *I* don't keep an eye on the gods, who will?

    I propose a 12 step program.

Steps 1 - 11...monitor the FICO gods and react as appropriate.

    Step 12...repeat steps 1 - 11.

    GUILTY !

Get to work about 8 am.

Fire up that broadband connection. Sign-up pull and delete WK on me and DW. Pull PG on me and DW. Check EX to make sure no monkey business going on. Make the rounds through 4-5 credit repair forums.

    8:45am

Coffee done, better earn my pay !

    12:30

Back from lunch. Steal 20 minutes to cycle through the forums again.

    4:30pm

1/2 hour left. Cycle through the boards again. Pull WK one more time. Go home.

    8:00pm

Check home e-mail. Check Yahoo e-mail. Check forums again.

This is the 5 day a week routine !

5-6 hours on weekend mostly for any letter writing or extended reading researching. Consider if there's any good reason to pay for a credit report and/or score.

I'm afraid I'll really be disappointed when there're no more errors in me and DW's credit files !

    GUILTY !

It will NEVER end. Once your report is clean and basking in the glow of a fine score you'll be obsessed with making sure that one of the many gods doesn't sneak up and zap your report(s). It will be with you 'til the bright white light beckons.

    Say Amen, brothers and sisters.

I posted a tongue-in-cheek "Twelve Steps of Creditnet Anonymous" in August 2001. I'm surprised they didn't chase me off the board at that time, but I suppose there's always still a chance... :)

AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Too funny on the 12-steps. I can quit at any time...I've only been "experimenting" for a little over a month. You all have the problem, not me!

Well, I'm not addicted to pulling reports yet, but I have been addicted to this board. I don't have good internet service at home right now, so I have to peek at work or when I'm working from home.

For a while, I set out to read every post ever posted on this board. I'd say I was about halfway through when three things happened:

I got really involved at work and didn't have time to surf,

My home ISP went out of business and I haven't found a good replacement yet

From things I saw change on some of the signatures, I started also reading the current postings as well as the old ones. Then I started posting, and it's been all downhill from there.
