Recently I was approved for a United Miles card through Chase. Is this considered a prime card? 5k limit. Thanks in advance.

    What is "prime"?

Although it is subjective, let's define it as "non-predatory", with competitive terms.

    No annual fee.
No monthly, payment or similar fees.
    20 day grace period minimum.
Competitive interest rates (relative to prime).
    Acceptable customer service.

Note that airline associated cards will typically have a higher rate, and might even have an annual fee.

    apr is 9.99% + prime
Annual fee is $60 (waived the 1st year)

These rates are not very competitive (although maybe they are when compared to other reward cards), I wasn't concerned with the APR since I do not carry a balance.

The one thing that they did give me, and is the main reason I opened the account is 20,000 miles, which puts me over the amount I need for a free flight.

There are other benefits with the card that seem to be better than many other cards I have.

I have only called them once so far, but the Customer Service was excellent and was 10X better than I have received with Capital One or other issuers that I have had experience with.
