Hello all, Again a newbie here , I have a question I am planning to move to a new apartment soon , is the credit check done by the leasing office considered a hard pull? is there anyway to avoid that? Thank you again for your input.
Mine was a hard pull. Can you avoid it? Probably not, but you could ask if they would take your FICO numbers pulled from MyFico.com. But that would cost you $30-$50. Is it that big of a deal?
Ccbob raises a good point . . . one inquiry is not going to drop your scores beyond a marginal extent.
