For the past 3 items that I have disputed with Experian after 30 days they have put " Account under dispute with the Fair Credit Act" but the same info is there except the status is now 'no status'? I thought they had 30 days to dispute an item? Either the balance is A or B. Two of the items were positive trade accounts but had the wrong balances listed. There is nothing to dispute. I was only trying to get the balances updated? Anyone else have this experience with Experian?

Yes. Check your other reports. They put the accounts in dispute on all 3 bureaus, as if I had a billing dispute with the creditor.

Breeze, do you mean that Experian tells the other bureaus to list it as "consumer disputes"? If this is the case, why can't they share information when they delete or correct something on your report? Or they can and just don't....

Is this legal? What can I do about it?
