My FCNB obviously was caneleeld as they became insolvent. Had it for over 2 years , no lates. Now i want to get another securee card, in fact i want 2 secured cards (just in case one goes bankrupt again). Is it a good idea to apply for twoi secured cards at the same time? Can anyone suggest any good secured cards,, i aM THINKING HOUSEHOLD CARDS. UI have heard after good payment histry they make it unsecured and also increase limits. Thanks Folks, You are awesome!
If you want suggestions for good secured card, I'd recommend American Pacific bank; have no personal experience, but heard good things about it. In my wife's case, to establish history, she applied for secured cards from 2 credit unions that she belongs to, and got them both. One advantage with CUs is that they don't pull credit reports for secured cards. Private banks do Here is another tip -- if you decide to apply for more than one card, try to do that almost simultaneously. Fill out secure forms from respective sites, and click the Submit button almost simultaneously. This is to attempt to avoid a hit to your FICO score from hard inquiries. Don't know if it would work though ....
My equifax is 660. tu and expe probably 500+. FCNB closure will be reported as "customer clos3ed the account" opr somehting like that. So i am assuming that will result in my score going up a bit. I have an account with the credit union and i spoke with them....they do not issue secured credit cards. (((. My credit union told me that if i setteled my exisitng colections accounts, they will approve me for an auto loan.
