I have a chargeoff acct on my experian that states a first premier tradeline. Under the status details it says after the chargeoff history.. Your comment: "Account closed at consumers request". I never made any such request. did experian insert that in there erroneously or was that First Premier's doing? and if it was the latter shouldnt it have stated creditors statement, closed at grantors request? Since the account is charged off it is not a huge issue to me, but was curious if this obvious error or mis inserted item could be used to any advantage since I as the consumer never made any such statement.
You might be able to use this to your advantage. I would dispute it saying this was closed at my request. That means it could not be a chargeoff. Either fix it to paid - never late, zero balance, or delete the acct.
hmm, i hadnt thought of this possibility. It would stand to reason that a consumer may not be able to request their acct closed unless in good standing. however am not sure.. any other opinion?
