is it easy to remove paid judgments

My client has a paid judgment on his account. He is trying to purchase a house and this does not look so good since it was in January. I believe he said it was an unpaid speeding ticket.

Anyway, since it is paid, can he go up and talk to a judge for removal? Is it hard?

The judge likely won't vacate the judgment, and if he did it probably wouldn't help much. The CRAs obtain such info typically from Dolan Info Svcs, not directly from the courts. Technically, not entirely kosher under the FCRA, some folks are trying a series of disputes, procedural requests, and letters threatening suit in an effort to cow various CRAs into deleting.

Disputing as "not mine" will sometimes make it go away, other times not.

    Public Records are pretty sticky.
