I sent a validation letter to a CA a few months ago. They sent a computer prinout. A few weeks ago they sent another dunning letter, with the same statement about my right to ask for validation. Do they normally keep putting that in each letter they send after they 'supposedly' have supplied your validation request? Just wondering...

    Love,

Is it the same rep handling your account on the first letter? I had that happen, i called and they had the most shitty system, no one knew the other person had the file. It appears the CA have so many accounts and the chances of duplicate work will exist. Someone told me they use it as a tool also, knowing they've sent you out the info, and they sneak another one in... Look at the names and see if they are the same person? chances are no..Scumbags

I think that is a statement to limit liability or lessen their chance of violations through mistakenly NOT printing it on a collection letter...they simply print it on every letter even if you have already validated...just like the; "This is an attempt to collect on a debt. Any information obtained..." statement.
