I just received a fax from my local branch manager stating that an account being reported on EQ is being reported twice. It is being reported as BK and reaffirmed and duplicate should be deleted. YEAH!!! I'll admit, I'm afraid to send it to Equifax and somehow the statement gets disregarded and I get a generic response back noting the duplicate TL is verified as accurate. (I have been let down so many times, I AM discouraged.) My question is, how do I write the accompanying letter to Equifax? Do I just say: Here is a statement from the creditor. Please delete the duplicate? Will it be that easy? Also, do I send the statement certified to their P.O. box or should I fax it? What other items should I send, copies of my credit report showing duplicate TL and copy of reaff agreement? ? I just want to know what method will "almost" surely work. Thanks for your advice!
