Arrow Financial sent me a letter on 3/27 (received 4/2) claiming that I owed $1652 to them for a Wiz Account. I sent them a basic DV letter on 4/29 asking them to show some proof or leave me alone. I sent it CMRRR with a cc: to the NYC Dept. of Consumer Affairs (they license the debt collectors, and I told Arrow after the original contact, in writing, not to call me - mail only). Today I received a letter dated 5/29 stating that I am past due on $0.00 and that if I don't pay them $0.00 in the next five days that the entire balance would be due. The letter claims that balance in excess of the amount I noted above. I will gladly comply with their demands Does this mean that they are dropping their claim? Can I forward it to the CRAs and ask them to drop this entry and the OC entry? For those who are interested, I talked a friend of mine into letting me post it on his site (with the details blurred out) so that you can see it. http://www.rantpipe.com/IHateArrow/Arrow1.jpg Nester
Buwahahahaha! There's nothing in the "past due balance" field. Was it that way or did you block it out? One time I had a Medicare Patient (a little ole 79 year old lady, bless her heart) who received a bill for $0.00. Dispite all the letters and calls to get them to fix it, the bills kept coming. Finally I sat down and wrote a check for ... you guessed it ... $0.00. The check went all the way through the system and back through her account. Course that was about 15 years ago. Never heard another word. LOL
