You want to ask Experian why you were turned down twice and aks them for a better rate? Do I understand this correctly?

Thank you for answering me so quickly, lately in the mail I have been receiving quite a few offers for credit cards with a far better rate then I have now on my Visa and Mastercard, so I applied twice and was turned down twice, and I`m sure it was Experian. Is there a number I can call? I am just rebuilding my credit maybe I`m moving too fast, also I don`t understand about points that I have read about on this board, could you explain that to me?Thank you again.

I didnt answer you originally, but if you applied and were denied credit they have to tell you which credit bureau was used in the decision. Then you can request a free credit report.

Do you know what your credit scores are? Or do you know what all might be on your credit report? Did you have late payments, charge-offs, repos, liens, judgments?

If you are trying to rebuild, you might be (guessing here OK) applying for a Citibank Platinum card and have a 545 score. There would be no way possible to get it. Pre-approved or pre-qualified isn't worth the stamp they mailed it with to be quite honest. That is simply their marketing strategy.

Post more information or obtain your credit scores and or reports and we will help.

Experian makes you pay for your score. You can get your score free through CreditExpert, which uses your EX report and score. Go to www.experian.com and click on creditexpert. They offer a free 30-day trial, after that it's either $59 or $79 a year, or you could just cancel before 30 days are up.
