I'm sure there are, but I'm not one of them.

However, I thought you might like to read this short article in our learning center about building personal credit from scratch - How to Start Building Credit from Scratch

I hope it gives you a general idea of how to get started on the right path.

Good article but how about doing an article on how to obtain business credit for a corporation without personal guarantees? That should be a great article too if you have some workable suggestions. Corporations can't be buying clothing for their executives or employees. Easy gas cards might be a starter or electronics or other suppliers who are willing to give credit on the above basis.

I didn't until I was 22 (2 years ago), and already wrecked my credit with unpaid utilities. Right now it's the only perfect account on my cr. Paid on time and kept at 35% of my limit. I'm really lucky by the time I started wanting a cc, no one would give me one, or else I'd probably be up to my eyeballs in that too.

@Cap1 - Sorry...I wouldn't be a good person to write an article on that topic since I've always had to give personal guarantees for any type of business-related credit in this market. Hopefully that won't be the case someday.

So, I guess I'll just stick to consumer credit for the time being. Glad you liked the article.

I have a friend that has never had a credit card. It's not that he has bad credit, He just knows several people that had to file bankruptcy and made his mind up to never get one. He even somehow got a brand new truck financed to make payments. Maybe it's because he's had the same job for the past 13 years. It didn't matter that he never had credit cards. He couldn't keep up with the truck payment and had to file bankruptcy anyway.
