Is this a good idea?

    Is this recommended?
    A quote from an old post:

    "Pay them, and include a letter with the check that states:

    "this check represents payment in full for the referenced account. By endorsing the enclosed check, you are agreeing to the following terms:
    1) Payment enclosed is payment in full.
    2) You agree to completely DELETE any and all entries you have placed on my credit report(s).

    If the above terms are not acceptable to you, you must return the check, uncashed, and provide me with full and complete legal validation of the referenced account.

    Depositing the enclosed check without fully complying with stated terms will constitute breach of contract and result in immediate legal action against both you and the original creditor."

    Then, on the back of the check, write "conditional endorsement-terms agreed" just above where they sign."

    I am questioning because I thought you chould only pay with money orders.
