I have read the first three posts and what great information they hold! I have searched the board and read a lot of great posts. So, here is my info and plan of attack. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I am definitely a Newbie at this stuff so forgive my ignorance. OK. Pulled my three credit reports. Here are the scores and the negatives by bureau. Experian: 544 Negatives: Toyota Motor Credit Corp/ Paid/Current was past due 90 days Triad Financial Corp Open Current was past due 60 days Union Acceptance Corp Open/ Past due Wells Fargo bank Account charged off/ past due 90 days Transunion: 490 Negatives: Macy's Acct Closed by Grantor/ In prior 41 months 1 time 60, 1 time 30 Triad Financial Corp Paid or paying as agreed In prior 8 months 1 times 60, 5 times, 30 Equifax: 605 Negatives: Household bank 120+ past due (I still have a balance from 8/2001) 1 times 30, 2 times 90 Triad Financial Corp Pays as Agreed, 6 times 30, 1 times 60, Union Acceptance Corp was deleted from this report as well as Wells Fargo. So, there we have it! Utter delinquency... But, now I have a chance to make it all right. I am coming into money to pay all of these people. What I want to do is send settlement letters to all for deletions of the tradelines. I would like to negotiate the prices a little though too. My ultimate goal is to buy a house in the next six months. Think it's possible? Any help is appreciated. If you agree with my strategy... Does anyone have the "right" settlement letter for these OCs? Thanks in advance misterman
Toyota is paid off... Since last May. Triad Financial is currently 30 past due. Union is Currently 30 past due. Wells Fargo DOLA is 8/2001 is reported as but is probably more like 6/2002. The balance is around $7000.00 but I was offered a payoff ages ago that I never got in writing of $4000 and now a new person is on the case. CA is where I live. Macy's is paid off... I know this is a bad excuse but, going through a divorce really messes with your life. Gratefully yours, misterman.
