The offers I have received have been for very nice accomodations - for which I paid nothing. I'm sure there are scams out there. Might be a good idea to inquire on the accomodations then check AAA or some other source for their rating of the establishment. Personally, I haven't had a problem.
My parents have done this, too and it's been fine. It's just that they give you a nearly impossible hard sell. A great free vacation, if you can keep your resolve to say no. The only way it worked for my parents is that they had literally no assets nor savings. Marci
