I have one account listed under two different account numbers on my Equifax credit report and I am having a helluva time getting Wells Fargo to delete one of the duplicates. The account was reaffirmed in my bankruptcy. It's listed as "reaffirmed" under one account number and "bankruptcy" on the other. Every time I dispute with Wells Fargo it comes back as "accurate"! I spoke with a lady by the name of Kathi Dale at the collections department who does the reporting for wells farg. She told me that if she deleted the account, both tradelines would be deleted and therefore, she couldn't do it!!

I have tried searching the net to find what violation this is but I can't! I am ready to take them to small claims court but I don't even know if they are violating my rights. I have posted before but have not had a response. :'( Can someone please tell me if I have a case here or do I just have to accept this?

it sounds like a hell of a pickle.... my advice on this is you are more then likely going to have to take a legal approach... get all documentation of this lady from wells fargo... send her certified letter that you ahve record of telling her she must remove the error as it is a violation of the FCRA of 19XX. if the debt is in a collection place send them certified letters explainig briefly taht the debt is an error and to remove it at once ..... take the cert. copies nad green tickets to a lawyer and then have them draw up a suit aginst wells fargo and dispute dispute dispute with the collectors and dipute with the credit reporting agencies. you must make every efoort to have it removed and have every proper documentation taht it is an error.
Wells fargo should fix there fck up because they are teh ones ultimately responsible for it ..... so it may take a lawyer sorry :(
