is this bringing my score down? Credit Limit/Original Amount: $5,650 High Balance: $7,569 Recent Balance: $7,569 as of 07/2002 Since the balance is 2500 over the limit, does that look bad? also, how does that affect my ratios? thank you
Yes, it would bring your score down. Part of the scoring is how much of your credit is being used. Creditors like to see that # less that 35- 40%. This account is like 150%. You need to pay that sucker down.
If your CL is $8000 then just go ahead and dispute the old info reported. Equifax ( I don't know about EX and TU ) can update CL or balance within 3 days.
I love citibank and do not want to do anything to screw that up. Would disputing it make citibank not like me? thanks
No it won't screw up your relationship. But, rather than dispute with the cra's, call this # (605) 331-1991 and ask for Judy Lang. Someone else posted this awhile back, but I can't remember who. Anyway, I had a problem with Exp reporting my limit as N/A. Killed my score. I called and they sent me a letter which stated my limits and that 100% was currently available to me, even though it wasn't. I faxed that to Exp. and it was updated in 3 days.
It was corrected and gave me an additional 6 pts also. My new GM card also reported as of today. That also was an additional 6 pts on Exp. And, they even reported the cl right.
Hey LKH! Thanks.. I spoke to Judy and she said she would fax over the correct info immediately! Thanks again!
