1*Why are you complaining about that? You want them to do that so you can use what they say against them! 2*Smart move: 3*Good idea- but leave them on the answering set too.
Hilarious!! No it's not legal. You have caught them red-handed. Save the tapes, really, or the digital recording that is on your machine - computer recordings can be doctored.
This reminds me of the time Equifax was doing a background investigation on me, and called my office - they asked for the manager - I was the manager!! Then they proceded to ask me questions about me. After they finished I told them who I was, and chewed them out for not making sure who they were talking to. I'm sure they listened, LOL. idiots.
What is really sucky about this whole thing is that I tried to negotiate with the original creditors to actually pay them back. The thing that got me the most is that I told them I was willing to pay the specific amount back if they reduced the 30% interest and late charges. 1 offered a 40% payoff on the original amount, but unfortanetly I don't have thousands of dollars of cash on hand to that. I said it would be more reasonable to me and more beneficial to them if they just reduced the interest, late fees, and other "fees" they tacked on and I could pay the full amount. They were not open to that idea. So now it looks like it will eventually end up in court where I will file BK and start over. The CA's want me to call them back, but for what? I do not have anything to give them and with the type of messages they have been leaving-I see no reason to subject myself to those kind of insults they have been leaving on my answering machine like one left, "I am not calling you for my health."
