I just checked my reports on my fico. On both my experian and equifax report, is the following collection.

    This is on the Equifax
    Collection Agency 164YC00000
    Original Creditor Not on record
    Account Number 45340XXXX
    Whose Account Individual
    Date Assigned July, 2002
    Date Reported April, 2005
    Amount $89
    Balance $108
    Balance Date April, 2005
    Date Last Activity December, 2001
    Collection Status Unpaid
    Status Date April, 2005

    and on Experian:

    Collection Agency QUANTUM COLLECTIONS
Original Creditor COMFORT DENTAL OF L.V.-X
    Account Number 45340XXXX
    Whose Account Individual
    Date Assigned July, 2002
    Amount $89
    Balance $108
    Balance Date December, 2001
Collection Status Account seriously past due date/account assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection department
    Status Date December, 2001

Is this re-aging (with Date reported, balance and status date?) That really is the only difference in both reports so I'm confused as to why one is almost 100 points different than the other.

experian is really screwed up as it doesn't show on its report the DOLA. they can tell you if you call and ask for the date but it doesn't report.

Maintaining date of first delinquency reported by OC or CA, to comply with requirement that negative items fall off after 7 years
    +
Failing to report this date to consumer as part of requirement to report ALL information in the consumers file when the consumer requests it
    =
systematic violation of FCRA, as their standard business practice, for every consumer report provided.
