I am in the process of fighting NCO over an old debt

I have sent them validation request and 30 days will be up soon

When I spoke to their rep he said the debt dates from 1993...everyone here gave me good advice re: SOL and telling NCO to F* off.

I've recently got hold of my EX & EQ reports and they are showing DOLA on this account of 1999 (probably the date NCO was assigned?)

The 1999 date worries me, if DOLA was in 1993 this should not be there in the first place

I don't expect NCO to be able to validate this debt
What is the best way to dispute this TL?
I was thinking to start with "Not Mine" then
demand removal since no validation ?

Yes - if the debt is from 1993 it shouldn't be on your reports!

Since NCO has your validation request, go ahead and dispute it with CRAs now.

Sorry, I should have asked in previous post...Dispute as Not Mine with CRA's?

Ok, some say do not dispute as not mine, as you could be caught fibbing. So its purely personal choice. I play word games "I do not recognize this account". Same effect LOL!

But yes, in no way admit the account is yours.
