I called Experian today because there are about 20 addresses listed on my report.I was told that they cannot delete any of them even the ones that are over 10 years old. This seems a bit ridiculous. Some are dupicates, like the apt. # or some other part of the address is off but an obvious duplicate.

She also told me that I could only dispute my name if it was spelled wrong. It was listed about 15 different ways too. She refused to delete anything that was speeled right even though I always write my name the same way on credit applications and other legal docs.

I just think it looks awful to have all that crap on there.

YOUR CREDIT REPORT MUST BE 100% COMPLETE AND ACCURATE

They way it is now...it's 100% NOT COMPLETE NOR ACCURATE...

I sent a letter to Experian with about 25 outdated/inaccurate addresses and they removed all of them.

I agree with GEORGE. There should be no problem in getting them deleted. Call again. Charlie

I think the problem OP might be having is that they ARE all accurate.

jmo, but while I think FCRA allows you to dispute "any"thing, but I do not think FCRA requires any of those name be removed.

I also say try again. I got them deleted by a very nice person. Just pointed out that these were all variations. The thing they try to get you on is that they say a creditor is reporting it that way and that's why it has to stay on your report. Ask which creditor. I've found that 9 times out of 10 they can't tell you and then they are screwed. Tell them that if they don't know the creditor, take it off. Period. End of story.

This goes for names and addresses.
