Alright, so one of the satellite companies sold my old account (that I didn't know about!) to CBE group. It's small, $92, and they offered me $69 settlement. I figured I'd offer them $50, and get a signature to confirm deletion. (All they'll do on the phone, supervisor's supervisor, is 'we promise it will get deleted... it always does.' but nothing in writing)

I modified a letter from this site, and plugged a paragraph in with my current address - they have an old address that isn't getting to me anymore. how's this?

    thanks in advance ...

Also, I know I shouldn't sign it, but should I type in my name?

Final question... They gave me a PO box for disputing - should I send there , or use the corp HQ address I got off this board?

I would add something to the effect that any remaining balance will not be sold, transferred, etc., so someone else doesn't try and collect the balance.
