Back around five years or so when I purchased my home the first mortgage company sold the mortgage within the first month, so on my credit reports I have two mortgages, my current one and the old one that was sold, that's fine. My Trans Union report never rated the old mortgage that was sold, it always showed it as "UNRATED" after Trans Union did there changes to their systems, now my old mortgage that was sold is now rated as "Unrated or bankruptcy"

    Is this bad? =(

I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY.

Sounds like a derogatory status to me. The old mortgage needs to show at least a "paid" or other satisfactory status (if in fact it was prior to purchase by new mortgagee).

I'd dispute/validate with the first mortgagee and then TU, leaning harder on TU.

*Naw: Bankruptcies look good on reports so you want to get as many listed as you can! !

I'm not sure why the changed from unrated > unrated or bankruptcy... I have the same thing, but I only see this designation online only on reports from worthknowing, not when I get a report directly from TU. Is this the case for you? If so, I would say that its not worth getting too upset about...

Yep! that's the same problem I have but it's with www.myfico.com is the one showing "Unrated or Bankruptcy" when I pull my report directly from www.transunion.com it just show's the account as "Unrated" which is how it has always been. =)

I'll have to keep an eye out for this. I closed on my home on Aug 26th of this year. By Sept 13th, my mortgage had already been sold. To this date, my mortgage doesn't (neither of them) appear on my CR.
