I have checked my CE score for the past 1.5 months and its been the same! Whats up with that! I have paid off over 2000 in debt and its still the same. Is it just me>???
If that $2000 that you have paid is not shown or updated on your report than it's the reason why your score stay as same...Normally after that big payment score should go up...or you've got at the same time some other facts present that lower your score...
Thats the thing, my account balances are all up to date, but my score hasnt changed since April. At the bottom of the score chart it says my score hasnt changed since June 2, but my Ce score has been an 632 since April. i just dont get it, I check it sometimes twice a day!
I had a similar thing happen to me - I did not get a single update on CE for around 3 months from Feb until around April. I called CE to find out what was going on, they had no idea and ended up refunding the subscription.
If your score isn't updating, take a look at the simulator page. You should see where your score has moved. I just had 24 out of 30 total inquiries drop off thanks to the two year limit and a little help from Doc, yet my score didn't move. On the simulator bar though, I'm about 50 points higher.
They claim the simulator is just, a simulator and not really accurate. But I'm wondering if it isn't more accurate than the score they give us. We all know that the score they give us is usually off by 20 pts or more either direction. What do you think?
Is Your CE score messed up too? ============================== Everybodys score is screwed up. Nobody has a correct score. Call it radical if you will but it's right!
What a coincidence....(this thread)... My score was relatively stable for the past 2 months...then BAM!!! a "traded" mortgage shows up and drops my score -35pts....from 664 to 629... When my mortgage first appeared back in March (bought house in Jan '02), it had a +7 pts affect. Then the note got sold to another company who hadn't reported it for a 2 month period. On 6/10, WHAMO... CE scoring..along with TU's Empirica Score sux...BIG TIME!!!
Because it showed up as a new account. New accounts bang your score initially. I never liked that. My mortgage was sold three times within a year.
Do you (or anyone else) know how long until my score "stabilizes"/reverts back to my "optimal" score? This is not fair...I think its a conspiracy since my 6 month time is coming up and I want to possibly refinance...
My simulator also shows a different score. It is 35 points higher than the score given. I got 2 notifications the other day by email that two updates have been posted to EXP file. When I check my report, there is absolutely nothing different. This is about the time I noticed simulator is higher. Maybe simulator calculates based on accounts that are in the system for your file but have yet to show up on the online report????
Did you read the "disclaimer" at the top of the simulator page??? Why doesn't this score match the one I see on the other pages of Credit Report and Score? Keep in mind that the score simulator is just thatâ?? a simulation. Actual credit scores, like the one you see on your score analysis page, are comprised of as many as 50-100 variables. The score simulator uses only 6 variables that typically have a significant impact on most scores. Although this simplified score will not match your Experian credit score exactly, use the simulator to gain a better understanding how a credit score works, not as an exact representation of your actual credit score.
Yes, I realize simulator or manager are not accurate scores. That is why Equifax is paid almost $80 a year by me for the cost of a true FICO score and I am now on my second "30 day free trial offer" with Experian. Does anyone know how many free trials you can do with Experian???
