i have recently had an item removed from my credit report. it was on Equifax and it was a charged off credit card. they deleted it and the score did not change at all. Is this normal..

Might just be a timing thing. Scores don't change from one day to another.

so it might take a month or two to see the results of getting things taken off...

Are you talking about the scores with a credit monitoring service? They sometimes aren't real time like FICO.

Check myfico.com. The board has a link you can go through.

is there another site that will give you accurate scores that is cheaper than the myfico.... or are you alloted one free score per year....

Consumers aren't allotted any free scores per year. Myfico, unfortunately, is the only site where a consumer can get real FICO scores.

And . . . it's the only one close to realtime.

Use "cppsavings" for a discount code.
