Send two validation letters to CA. They did not respond at all. Sent proof to the CRA that I sent letters to which they did not respond. CRA sends a credit report no longer showing the item in question. Is it possible that the CA can re-insert the false negative item on my report again, especially since they never acknowledged the falsity of the notation? I'm thinking about suing in small claims, and simply dropping the suit once they contact me and acknowledge that the item is not true. Thoughts?
CRAs have five days to notify you if an item is reinserted. They seldom do. Catch 'em on that one and it's likely you can make the item go away for good.
