Well I hope you read my post below, what can I do by next summer to up my scores, I have already closed one account which had no balance and I have paid off 2 others, exxon and Lowes's. I am paying off Target the end of this month and also Penney's. So that will leave me with Aria 5K limit 4800 balance Citibank 5Klimit 0 balance Citibank 1K limit 900 balance Sears 250 Limit 75.00 balance Fidelity 500 limit 450 balance Associates 475 limit 400 balance I plan on paying off sears, assocaites and fidelity, just hope that will make my scores much more appealing next summer. Does this sounds like a plan and do you have any other suggestions??? Thanks as always Kristi
Thats always a good start but I would also work hard at getting all of the other balances down below 30% of the limit available. The key is to use credit, not let it use you and in doing so it is very important to appear to have a good amount (not too much) available, while oweing as little as possible. You are doing fabulous! RE: It's me again Kristi one How often and how much can scores go up in any given time period, will mine go up enough by next June. Just curious how often and how much I can get them up and in what amount of time/ Thanks
RE: It's me again Kristi one they change every day. Like i said my scores were 594 in april. They were 620-630 in the summer and dropped to 609 at the last car dealer I went to in Aug. But look at the 30 point jump i made by consolidating the student loans which showed 0 balances and then getting some positive tradelines. I think next summer is plenty of time. I also would suggest you do the bank loan trick you know the one using savings or cd as collateral. That would only cost you one inquiry but it would help your score.
Kristi, are you no longer with You always post Kristi - Carreon and Associates. Are you no longer at that company?
RE: Kristi, are you no longer BDM: I am still with Carreon & Associates. I just don't think it's always appropriate to attach C & A's name when I am giving my own opinion. That's all, just being cautious that it does not come across that I am speaking for C & A when I may answer a question. Also, sometimes I feel like it is overkill or spam when a company constantly posts their name. In the begining I did more, so people new who I was but now you all know me here. bdm wrote: ------------------------------- You always post Kristi - Carreon and Associates.
