    Sweet.

If you are GOD believing you must also be BIBLE believing.. you can't accept that partly.

WRONG. Belief in God does NOT warrent belief in the Bible...I can believe in an over-arching power int he universe without biblical conotations. The bible is inherently full of contradiction. I believe I've said it before..certainly you can feel that way that is your perogative.

I can't believe this thread is still alive!

I followed Love's link to the Depo Provera discussion & I saw this.

Anyhow, Cherie, The author of A Case for Christ is Lee Strobel. I have a copy of the book, and it's excellent.

Dani, why do you think that the thought of nothing after this life depresses you? It's because God has "set eternity in our hearts".

My answer to those who choose to hold on to non-belief in Christ is the following comparison.

CIA & FBI field agents, French & Italian security agents, and congressional committees and commissions all had pre 9/11 warnings (see http://whatreallyhappened.com). Yet when their concerns were forwarded to their superiors, their reports got shoved away, never to see the light of day again till after 9/11.

Many people asked, "Why didn't we know? Why weren't we warned?". Well, some people were warned & changed their behavior (John Ashcroft stopped flying commercial airplanes last summer), and others dismissed them as too vague to warrant action.

Jesus compassionately appealed to everyone, but never forced himself on anyone. We, as Christians try to do the same by "speaking the truth in love".

God is Love, but sin has a price, which only Jesus could and did pay. Being a good person isn't good enough when perfection is required. Forgiveness and a new life are yours for the asking; if you reject it now, on judgement day, you can't say you weren't warned.

    Rina,

I don't see how the prewarnings of 9/11 (which most of the American public were never told about) and a belief in god and judgement day are interelated.

One is human error, the other is human belief (or non belief).

Plus, I don't believe the government knew everything. They may have been forewarned about airplanes or potential terrorist attacks, but I don't believe they had any idea where, when or what they (the terrorists) would target.

Should they have forewarned the American public? Should they have taken greater precautions when they found out that Arab students were taking pilot lessons at air schools across the country? Should there have been greater security measures and supervision at national airports? The answer is yes.

But, no one at any one time can predict the course of life or future events. It is very sad, but it happens. Would we have believed the government if they alerted us to the fact? Some probably would. What happens when our government warns us about anything and everything and nothing happens? It becomes "crying wolf."

The simple fact is we cannot control man's mind, nor his actions. September 11 occured because of a group of demented men who believed in a cause. No god or warning would have stopped them, it would only have made them revise it.

    Dani
