its the little guys that'll get ya

    OK, so I'm not sure that anyone else has noticed this, but I have had NO PROBLEM getting the BIG collections off of my report- but the small ones are proving to be very problematic. Examples:

    - $92 utility collection- dispute: verified. these bastards will not respond to my request for validation, instead they have reposted it with a new account number and a new last activity date to each report.

    -$100 emergency medical collection- dispute: verified. sent validation, they immediately removed from EXP report (the only one that reported debt at the time)- that was good. BUT NOW they have posted it to my TU report and still have not responded to validation (60 days).

    -$52 phone bill- called, they had no record of my name, ss#, account # etc. Disputed with TU- they verify it- WTF!!

    Other than these, I have had 5.5K, 2.6K, 1K and 500 buck charge-offs removed without a hitch. Why are these "little guys" so difficult to deal with?? How the HECK do I get them to respond and remove them from my reports!!

    maybe these little guys need to pinch every dollar they can get so they fight like hell....

    if the CA for the phone bill has no record of you, have you sent the procedure request to the CRA asking them how they did something that you and the CA can't do?

    just received my TU dispute results back today- plan on sending a procedural request letter to them ASAP. I am also going to send a letter to the CA -- one way or another this one will come off. Just frustrated that it has to be SO tedious!!
