The role of our government is to protect the lives, liberty, and property of American citizens. Terrorists, in a series of attacks over the past several years, have declared war on all of these. Tuesday's assaults were the most diabolical. In response, it is incumbent on our government to act militarily to eliminate this threat. We know the identity of many of these terrorists and we know many who aid and abet their activities. Action must begin swiftly, before more innocent lives are taken.

If we truly honor the victims of Tuesday's massacres, and if we truly cherish our lives and liberties, we must destroy those who have already
destroyed so much. This is not a task to undertake with relish. It is a task that we must undertake with righteous resolve. The terrorists have made the terms clear: it's us or them.

Why are you FULL of some much of HATE and ANGER!!!!!!

I understand the actions of these terrorist, but you are taking this too far. By acting with some much emotions, this is going to be the drive of destruction of Earth as we know it.

Remain passive, we are all upset. But you may need to seak peace.

I am prior service and a future Army Officer. I felt your aggression, but it does no GOOD!!!!!!!!!!

Relax, Breathe and realize that peace is within.

Reshod it is difficult for many of us to be full of anything but anger, and it is human nature to harbor any emotion other than affection for someone who has so indiscriminately taken innocent lives. I would venture to say, if a terrorist had taken one of your family hostage on a plane, tied them up, and slit their throat in front of the other passengers, hate would be in the very forefront of your emotions.....if not, you are a better man than I.

The line has been drawn, not by us, but by the petty cowards that have perpetrated this attack. We must act swiftly and without mercy to show these cowards that we will not tolerate such actions. To do anything less only invites more such actions. In the recent past, we have done exactly that. Attempted through "legal", diplomatic, and/or limited responses to show compassion and concern for the innocents that might be affected. As hard hearted as it may seem, we can no longer take this position.

I have seen firsthand, in Somalia, what this type of organization is capable of. They are more than willing to allow the sacrifice of their own women and children, also allowing them to starve if need be, all the while they are not missing a meal. Saddam is a perfect example, he will readily espouse how the evil Americans have caused his people to starve by enforcing sanctions - yet I have to ask - does he or his cronies look as if they have ever missed a meal.

Bin Laden has been given more than fair notice, and the Afghanistan government is well aware of our intentions - thus they have been allowed more than adequate time to evacuate any innocents. If collateral damage occurs as the result of an attack, it will be unfortunate, but it will be their fault.
These "religous" rulers have as much as said their women have no value as humans which should say enough for their twisted way of thinking.

I find it ironic, that terrorists always seem to value their civilian population so much, yet they purposely place their military factories, anti-aircraft batteries, command bunkers etc. in densely populated civilian areas.

Every soldier loves peace, but also must be willing to fight when duty calls - without this there is no defense of our freedom and liberty.
