    Hello my new friends,

NCO bought my Wells Fargo Visa charge off. It is past the sol for my state (CA). 180 days past due 12/97.
Wells Fargo reported it last on 05/01 as â?¦.$1159 charged off.& purchased by another lender
. NCO reports an open collection account for $1447 owed
I am ready to play the game! I need advice developing my game plan as I have been reading so much info(on this and other sites)in the past couple of weeks that my brain is frying.

First of all, I shall take NCO through the validation process

)one scenario is they can validate the debt.. I wonder what the chances are of that happening. Anyone? In this case I guess I will have to get a written settlement for a decent price How can I incorporate complete deletion from Wells Fargo at that time? Is it possible? Or I could not settle it and hang out and wait for it to fall away.

))the other scenario is they are unable to validate the debt. I think I understand how to
get NCO off the credit reports. But what can I do with Wells Fargo after that.? Is there anything?

Yes, I am a deadbeat. But like everyone else, I have an excuse. It came down to a choice when I was in the Marine Corps and uninformed. Should I have my sister arrested? or should I live in this virtual debtorâ??s prison ? It is amazing what can happen when you leave the country! But forget the past. I have a family of five to support now and in the future!

It's not nice, so, I don't do it.
Unless the other happens to be a debt collector.

    Good Morning,

Whatever you do, don't try settlement at the same time as validation--wait to see what they provide as docs after your validation request is sent. Don't forget to do CRRR--this proves they received your letter.

You'll likely get one of two things:
    1) Partial Validation, or
    2) No response at all.

If you do end up receiving full validation, then I would try to settle for full deletion.

Also, I believe there is some sort of class action suit against NCO at the moment--you may want to check up on that. I had NCO listed on my report at one time on TU, but it was suppressed after like one month and dropped off a few weeks after that by itself....

Well, good luck with your first round!

What do you consider full validation?

    Re: NCO Class action lawsuit

does anyone else have any info on a class action law suit against NCO?

matt_r the NCO also only appears on my trans union report.

Did NCO purchase the account or are they acting as agent/collector for Marlin Intergrated aka/Inovision?

a* A copy of the orginal signed contract.
b* A total account history showing all charges and payments. All statements on the account included.
c* A copy of their authorization to collect _ This does not mean a typed up letter with their notarized signature on it.
NO FALSE or FORGED DOCUMENTS ACCEPTED!

    1. send validation letter
    2. dispute with CRA's
    3. when inadequate validation letter doesn't produce anything (which it most likely won't), send estoppel
    4. dispute with CRA again
    5. send final lawsuit threat letter

Make sure the SOL has past, it depends on which state you are in. If it has, nothing to worry about.. definitely don't PAY the debt.

I have had NCO on my credit report for 5 items and got them ALL deleted AND apology letters. Good luck.

    Hey Ender or anyone else,
Let us suppose that I am successful in deleting NCO what is the next step in dealing with Wells Fargo (OC).

Also, someone mentioned about the SOL being expired. .It is

I was wondering about a Circuit city charge off. I opened the account in NY (sol is 6 years) and I now live in CA (sol is 4 years ) Expired in my home state but not NY. Do you think it is likely they will sue if I sent a validation letters.? Can they from out of state (NY). This debt was also purchased about $1100 . the Ca line reports lender can not locate individual. The oc line reports the same. I have been waiting on this account as the sol is not expired in New York. So as not to awaken the beast . What do you think? Anyone?

I have been away for while. My wife's grandfather passed away.

    see ya
