Just this morning I posted a question pondering whether to send 2nd validation, or wait and let the 30 day CRA dispute pass first. Got my answer in today's mail. RMA is now claiming to be collecting on this account. Guess SW Credit Systems can't validate. This is an old phone bill (really not sure if its correct). 6 months ago, we reconnected service with this company, and although I was aware, and waiting for the argument I would have to pay it before establishing new service, nary a word was said. So I really don't think there is proof. I remember reading stuff about RMA, just don't recall what, and naturally search is as slow as equifax has been, any words of wisdom? I am planning to send out the dispute/validate letter today.
Hi Lynn, This, in my opinion is continued collection activity. I designed and posted a letter some time ago to deal with situations like this. "Subsequent CA strategy!". http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...postid=243786&highlight=subsequent#post243786 Send this letter (revised to fit your case of course) and copies of all your val. demands to RMA, and copies of green cards proving SW received it. You may notarize it for added effect. Keep us posted.
That is such a great letter, I think it deserves to be in the sample letters forum. I pulled out all of the exteraneous replies and reposted it with credit to Butch and LKH -odessa
Charlie, Odessa must have had to delete it to move it. With only a few edits, the entire thread is now in the sample letter forum.
