I need everyones help. I have hit a brick wall. I do not know what to do next. I've been disputing things off of my credit report for 4 months now. I started with Lexington Law Firm last January and they successfully got about
    5 off of Transunion
    4 off of Equifax
    3 off of Experian.
I've paid and settled on several old accounts which of course most of them are off because I've disputed them off. I paid Providian, Orchard and several other collections accounts off. I've disputed off all of them except for lovely Asset Acceptance (who has reaged my account and i'm currently fighting). I have been able to get another Orchard card.
    Experian
5 unpaid collections (totalling $3000 (they are about 4 years old now)
    5 paid collections
5 new (positive) credit accounts (FNB,FNCC (both 1 year old) ,
CCB, Capitol 1, Orchard Bank (all three two months old)).
    Equifax
4 unpaid collection accounts (which are the same ones as on Experian except 1)
    5 unpaid medical collections
    1 paid collection
    5 postive accounts
    Transunion
    2 unpaid collections accounts
    3 paid collections
    5 positive accounts.

If anyone who has been through this or has any suggestions as to how I would go about getting the rest of my collections off of my report. Please advise. Most of these, I cannot dispute anymore online because our friends at the credit bureaus say they've already been checked.
Thanks for listening and any advice is much appreciated

    Equifax 572
    Experian 569
    Transunion 445

What you need to do is send validations to every negative account listed. When they don't respond in 30 days, and most won't, send the estoppel. The ones that do respond, won't send true validation of the debt. 30 days after they fail to respond to the estoppel, send copies of everything you sent including the certified mail receipts to the cra's. Demand that they remove the accts. as they could not prove the validity of those accts.

Does this apply to paid and unpaid collections?

    Sham,

LKH is absolutely correct. Send validations letters to all of the collection agencies listed on your report (paid or unpaid). At this point, make sure you're organized. Send EVERYTHING certified return receipt, DO NOT SPEAK with any CRA or CA on the phone. Correspond by mail only! Now is the time for you to begin creating a clear and concise audit trail.

Most of the collection agencies won't respond because they won't be able to validate a debt 4 years old. Make sure you know the sol of your state. If a collection agency ignores your request for validation, don't get frustrated, allow them to hang themselves.

Good luck to you Sham, most of us can relate to your problems. The most important thing is to organize yourself and go get 'em!
