Hi guys, i've searched and searched but I can't find an acceptable pay for deletion letter to send to a CA. I'm trying to get them to delete their records, and also the original creditors (discover and citibank). Does anyone here have any sample letters that have worked? I want it worded so they will delete their files from my credit report, and most importantly the original creditors chargeoffs. Thanks!

Usually the reason they aren't accepting your letters is because they're ignoring them. Are you sending them with Return Reciept and Confirmation? That usually wakes them up a bit.

I haven't sent any letters yet, what i'm saying is I need to find the sample "pay for deletion" letter so I can send it to them (the collection agencies). Also citibank and discover no longer have the account, they've been sent to collections.

If I could go back in time, I wouldn't have dealt with collection agencies.
The best you can ever hope for is a "paid charge off" and a reage. Not to mention the original debt, a double whammy.

They will promise you anything to get paid.
If you can, try to deal with the original creditor only.
    CA's are complete scum.

If you can have them sign a letter stating that you agree to pay X amount if they delete the negative history from them and the original creditor on your credit report, then they must oblige or you can have legal recourse. It's been said and done many times on this forum, I just wish someone would post a sample letter for me. Come on guys, I need to buy this house quick! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone help!

The collector cannot make promises on behalf of the OC. They can delete their own tradeline, and that's it.
