Has anyone ever requested credit line increase over the phone with their Automated System??? If so, did they pull a hard inq or soft? How much can you ask for?
Not exactly what you asked but here's my recent experience: I hadn't used my JCP in years and wasn't sure if it was even open anymore. I tried to access my card info online and it wouldn't work. I called and actually spoke to a CSR she said my card was still open. I asked about a CLI, she said "lets see what we can do" I was denied. This was in January. No hards showed up on any of my reports.
That's interesting. In 93 the sent me a unsolicited card. Never used it but still shows up on Transunion with "Most Owed $13" I never used it, and still rem. that with the card I got a bill for Insurance which I cancelled. That must be the $13. Have no idea what the CL was. May just call them and see if it's still good, and if so, what the Credit Line is.
Don't be surprised, if it is still open, if your CL is a joke! The only reason I didn't close it when I verified it was still open is its my oldest TL
