What is the JCB Card? I never heard of it. It seems it can be used "like" a Visa or Mastercard but it has no annual fee. Where can you use it? What can you buy with it?

Nana has it listed under cards after BK (2 years) and I looked at the website but couldn't figure it out.

JCB is the Japan Credit Bureau -- think of this as the predominant card in Japan. It has limited acceptance in the USA.

In fact, to apply you must live in the NYC area, California, or Hawaii.

I called them and they will mail you a paper application if you ask.

I didn't ask about the requirements for approval.

Hey broncsboi - I got them for $5K with my Ch 13 still on record - 6 yrs earlier.

They are well received in San Fran - but not too many places.

It takes about 30 days to apply and get the card.

    Good luck.

You forgot to mention Illinois. Just came back from the USPO and noticed a sign that they accept the JCB card.

Next time I travel to Asia I will apply for this card.

    Best regards,
